be better off as a crossing guard
Since some of you live in San Jose (including The Doctor), I thought you might enjoy knowing
this:
"The City of San Jose, CA has inked a $4.7M contract with IPS. This system will provide sol
utions for Police and Fire, and covers the full gamut of IPS products, from CAD to I/LEADS,
to Netviewer and AVL tracking.
It should be noted that both of these accounts will be implementing IPS' I/InterCAD product
for XML-based CAD-to-CAD communications. This will allow the IPS CAD system to communicate
with non-IPS CAD systems within each agency's region."
The other account was in Winnipeg in case you are curious.
The XML being noted there is from APCO Project 36. Yes Virginia,
there are standards orgs besides OASIS doing application language
standards in XML. :-)
